Single Estate Wines

You are here

The diversity of soils of the Empordà is well reflected in the various estates belonging to Perelada: slate in Garbet, gravel in La Garriga, clay loam in Malaveïna… Our bodega takes advantage of the different characteristics that each of these soil types bring to the grape to produce single-vineyard wines, known in Spain as vinos de finca. These are wines whose personalities are indelibly marked by the vineyard where they are born.

Finca Garbet

Terraces, slate, the Mediterranean, and tramontane create an extraordinary wine, full of character, complexity, and precision.

Finca Garbet comes from one of the most impressive wine landscapes in the world, a terraced vineyard opening to the sea, receiving the perfect breeze, humidity, and freshness for proper grape ripening, representing pure harmony between sea, land, sun, and wind, the four natural elements conjured to give life to a wine full of emotion.

Aires de Garbet

The most elegant expression of an extreme estate, caressed by the Mediterranean and whipped by the tramontane wind.

Twelve hectares open to the sea, like a Roman amphitheatre, with slate soils and steep slopes beside the Mediterranean, vines combed by the tramontane that shape a fascinating landscape, home to Perelada’s iconic wines, where Finca Garbet gives birth to a superlative and elegant Garnacha, the result of low yields, rigorous selection, and meticulous ageing, bringing complexity without losing the essence of the place: Aires de Garbet.

Finca Malaveïna

Behind the estate that gives it its name, Malaveïna hides a beautiful love story and a wine full of finesse, marked by its unique origin.

The origin of Finca Malaveïna is a legend: it tells of a woman who, unfortunately, earned the enmity of her neighbors by falling in love with the enemy. This earned her the nickname “bad neighbor,” which was later given to the land that became her home. Today, this same land nurtures a terroir perfectly suited for the varieties that make up this powerful aging red wine.

Finca Espolla

Perelada’s northernmost estate, located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, shapes a red wine full of fullness, harmonising strength and delicacy, where native varieties take centre stage.

The millennia-old slate soils, the terraces, and the Mediterranean varieties define this red wine with a distinct personality, enhanced by its freshness and balsamic character. A wine that recalls the history of a plot that, two millennia ago, was trodden by Hannibal’s troops and their legendary elephants on their route to Rome.

Finca La Garriga 2022

A reflection of the life dedicated to the land that we have inherited in Perelada, and bottled as a tribute to that tradition.

Finca La Garriga, foundational and symbolic, yields a wine that deeply reflects the connection between history, nature, and tradition. It is the story of a life dedicated to the land, a legacy we have inherited and which, with care, we bottle as a tribute to the effort and passion that endure generation after generation.

Finca La Garriga Blanca

From our foundational estate, La Garriga, are born the old chardonnay vines that, in harmony with the sandy soils of Empordà, gift us this white wine full of character and soul, a pure expression of our land.

La Garriga is a landscape where the earth whispers stories of effort and dedication. On its 41 hectares of gravel and pebble soils, Perelada’s oldest vines, planted in the 1940s, still withstand the passage of time, feeding on the very soul of the land to give life to a wine that captures its full essence.
