Finca Garbet
Terraces, slate, the Mediterranean, and tramontane create an extraordinary wine, full of character, complexity, and precision.
Finca Garbet comes from one of the most impressive wine landscapes in the world, a terraced vineyard opening to the sea, receiving the perfect breeze, humidity, and freshness for proper grape ripening, representing pure harmony between sea, land, sun, and wind, the four natural elements conjured to give life to a wine full of emotion.

GARBET ESTATE
Finca Garbet, located in the municipality of Colera, near the border with France, benefits from a unique microclimate shaped by its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and especially by the influence of the tramontane, a characteristic wind of the region, strong and cold, that shapes the landscape and the character of local viticulture, protecting the vines, enhancing their health, and intensifying the concentration of aromas and flavours in the grapes.
In 1997 the vines were planted, marking the beginning of this distinctive twelve-hectare vineyard of slate terraces with steep slopes that favour both drainage and cultivation, specialising in varieties best adapted to this demanding environment, with a fully manual harvest ensuring that only grapes at their optimal point reach the winery, so that each bottle from Finca Garbet reflects the uniqueness of its terroir, capturing the Mediterranean energy and the harmony between soil, sun, wind, and sea.

SOILS
A vineyard located just a few metres from the sea, reaching 120 metres in altitude and facing east with a moderate slope, stands out for its dramatic landscape; its slate soils, with strong drainage and steep slopes, offer unique conditions for viticulture, while the acidic pH and low organic matter create controlled water stress that forces the vines to seek water deep underground, intensifying nutrient concentration and enhancing the complexity of the wines; furthermore, the age of the soils, over 350 million years old, adds a unique geological dimension that enriches the singular character of Finca Garbet’s wines.
