Gran Claustre embodies the winemaking heritage of the monks who lived at the Convent of El Carme, a tradition that Peralada revived a century ago and that is expressed today in this wine. Gran Claustre Selecció Especial is crafted from a carefully selected batch of grapes that macerate with their skins to enhance the aromas and flavors of the fruit. The wine then ages for eleven months in French oak, combining large casks and new barrels to impart complexity and subtle notes of spice and vanilla. The result is a deep, balanced wine that unites intensity, elegance, and character.
