Behind the estate that gives it its name, Malaveïna hides a beautiful love story and a wine full of finesse, marked by its unique origin.
The origin of Finca Malaveïna is a legend: it tells of a woman who, unfortunately, earned the enmity of her neighbors by falling in love with the enemy. This earned her the nickname “bad neighbor,” which was later given to the land that became her home. Today, this same land nurtures a terroir perfectly suited for the varieties that make up this powerful aging red wine.
Designation of origin:
EmpordàVarietals:
Merlot (63%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%), Cabernet Franc (14%), Garnatxa Negre (6%),Ageing:
22 months in new Bordeaux barrels of Allier French oak, rest in bottle.Tasting note:
Cherry red color with a high layer.
Powerful aroma, remember the black fruits, with a background of spicy and toasted notes.
The palate is round, fleshy and structured. The acidity is very fresh and the tannins are very round, giving a feeling of creaminess. It has an excellent balance, with a good step of mouth and long aftertaste.
It is a wine with a marked personality of the farm from which it comes and has a great potential for aging.Finca:
